The meaning of the Bluebonnet is bravery and admiration. A bluebonnet is a strong flower and symbolizes sacrifice. I have had a whirlwind of a few weeks and better to paint than the Texas State flower with such an amazing meaning. It is not only beautiful but has amazing meaning behind it. While painting it, I thought I want to be strong and brave like the bluebonnet. Even after the stormy oh so crazy weather we have in Texas, the bluebonnet stands tall with her beauty. I want to be like that I thought. Life can be stormy but we can persevere just like the bluebonnet. Like Texas, you never know what the next moment could bring, it could be sunshine and a nice breeze blowing through. Stand tall and brave. Xoxo- Deanna
